Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition 2022 in London

The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition 2022 is now accepting applications. As a result, successful applicants will receive a free trip to London, and this is an incredible and historic opportunity announced by Queen Elizabeth by the Royal Commonwealth Society. All entrants and participating schools also receive a Certificate of Participation, and the winners and runners-up in the Senior and Junior categories each receive a trip to London for a week of educational and cultural events. Also, all expenses for a trip will be covered.

Furthermore, the Queen Essay competition is open to students from all 52 Commonwealth nations, and there are several categories to choose from. So, you can write an essay on any topic they give you, and Commonwealth countries’ participants are divided into two categories for this international writing contest 2022: Senior Category and Junior Category. As a result, Commonwealth students between the ages of 14 and 18 are classified as Seniors. Students under the age of 14 are also classified as Juniors. Eligibility Criteria

  • All Commonwealth nationals and residents, as well as residents of Hong Kong, Ireland, and Zimbabwe, are eligible to compete.
  • Entries must be entirely written in English.
  • Entrants must select a Senior or Junior topic that corresponds to their age on June 30, 2022.
  • In addition, the maximum word count for Senior entries is 1,500 words, and the maximum word count for Junior entries is 750 words. There is no word count restriction.
  • Each participant may only submit one entry.

Categories of Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition 2022

The topic is divided into two sections: “the Senior Category” and “the Junior Category.”

1. Senior Category

Maximum word count for the Senior Category: 1500 words (born between July 1, 2003 and June 30, 2008 (14-18 years old).

2. Junior Category

For the Junior category (born on or after July 1, 2008 (under 14), the maximum word count is 750.

  • What are the best ways for young people to serve the Commonwealth, in your opinion?
  • Our Commonwealth clan.
  • Create a job description for a super hero who needed to solve a problem in your community.

Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition Awards

The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition is sponsored by the Lagos State Government.

Application Procedure of Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition

Entrants must send the following information to competitions@royalsociety.org after submitting their entry.

  • Full name and complete identification number
  • The school’s name.
  • Provide information about submitting an adult if the submission is not a group submission. Complete information on the entrant’s academic stage.
