Berlin Fellowship 2025 in Germany | Fully Funded Program

The Berlin Fellowship Program in Germany 2024 offers a distinctive and current chance to address the increasing challenges associated with digital security. The world has transformed into a global village because of the widespread adoption of communication technologies.

Yet, these technologies can also be misused and the 6-month fully-funded fellowship in Germany is tailored to address the increasing cyber threats. Further, participants in this workshop will learn about the tools for addressing privacy breaches, along with the specific vulnerabilities that can result in such significant breaches. Also, journalists working in these critical areas face increased vulnerability to digital threats, like surveillance or hacker attacks, which can disrupt their work.

The fully-funded training for journalists in Europe has a trickle-down effect. In this program, once journalists have honed their skills in protecting themselves from emerging digital threats, they enter the second phase. Why Berlin Fellowship 2025?

The Berlin Fellowship Program 2025 is an initiative of the Berlin State Department for Economics, Energy, and Public Enterprises. However, this fully funded international scholarship in Germany is specifically designated for journalists. Also, reporters Without Borders Germany invites journalists reporting from conflict zones and crisis areas to join us in Berlin for complimentary training sessions on enhancing their digital security.

After formulating the concept, the participants transition to trainers, imparting the same skills they acquired during the Berlin exchange program to journalists in their respective home countries. The program by RSF Germany has greatly helped numerous journalists globally, including those who were under threat of violence due to their exceptional reporting in conflict zones and sensitive regions.

Additionally, the RSF reporter scholarship program in Europe is an opportunity to acquire the necessary skills in accurately evaluating potential risks. The program undoubtedly helps participants understand that achieving “Absolute Security” is unrealistic, but it also highlights the numerous methods and tools available to create a robust security plan.

Coverage of Berlin Fellowship 2025

Eligibility Criteria

  • Professional journalists, bloggers, media professionals, and citizen journalists can apply. Journalists are facing digital threats in the countries they call home.
  • The individuals must possess a strong eagerness to gain knowledge about digital security. So, then share this valuable information with other journalists in their respective home countries.
  • The candidates must demonstrate their commitment to going back to their home countries.
  • The candidates must have a strong command of the English language.
  • The candidate should possess sufficient experience in journalism.
