Why KAAD Scholarships 2025?
In addition, It supports its scholarship by providing scholarships, educational opportunities and counseling on personal and spiritual issues to the winners , considering their growing activities in their home country in the future. Further, this is done in collaboration with partner committees and organizations of former like-minded people from various countries with the aim of developing (academic) networks and promoting a holistic development that takes into account religious and inter-religious elements.
In the 1950s, when German Catholics began to pay more attention to world affairs and responsibilities, especially the laity became aware of the opportunities that could grow in this field through communication with foreign students. Thus, a proposal made by the Fulda Catholic Congress in 1954 led to the creation of KAAD. It received official legal recognition in 1958 as a non-profit organization based in Bonn. Before continuing their studies, the winner will receive language lessons in Germany, and KAAD will pay for travel and hotel expenses.
