DESY Summer Student Program 2024 in Germany | Fully Funded

In 2024, prospective summer students will be able to participate in an eight-week training course to investigate research in one of the various themes pursued by DESY, Germany. So, Bachelor’s degree holders, those planning to pursue a bachelor’s degree. Also, those who have completed their bachelor’s degree and are currently enrolled in master’s degree courses are all eligible to apply for the DESY Summer Student Program 2024. DESY will finance the initiative and cover the related expenditures.

Furthermore, the 2024 DESY Summer programme runs from July 16, 2024 to September 5, 2024. Also, the selected candidates will conduct research in Zeuthen (Berlin) or the DESY Laboratory in Hamburg. In addition, the DESY programme is open to anybody from any nation. Also, summer students are obliged to work 39 hours a week and additional programme details are included below. Benefits of DESY Summer Student Program 2024

Everyone who is picked will receive the following:

1200 euros per month (enough to meet living expenses).
partial reimbursement for travel expenses from your home country to Germany and back,
Similarly, DESY will provide you a formal invitation letter in order for you to secure a visa. (Visa aid for anyone requiring a visa to enter Germany).
Have the option of staying in the DESY Hostel for the length of the training at a reduced rate.

Eligibility Criteria

By the summer of 2024, you should have completed at least three years of full-time university studies.
The major target audiences are students in the following two phases in the summer of 2024.
- Their bachelor’s degree will grante to them soon.
- They have a bachelor’s degree and are seeking a master’s degree.
Also, those who have already achieved or plan to receive a master’s degree by the summer of 2024 will not be eligible.

List of Available Fields

Photon Physics.
Accelerators and fundamental particle physics.
Astroparticle physics.

Natural science computing, software development, theory, physics data analysis, practical work with detectors or experimental equipment, and computing are all examples of research undertakings.

Two recommendation letters.
For candidates from non-EU and non-EEA countries, participation in the DESY Summer Student Programme in Germany requires a work visa. Please send a separate second paper in the form of a single PDF file.
- a copy of your foreign passport
- Your university provided you with an enrollment certificate. It must cover the whole term of the programme, which spans from the beginning of July to the middle of September 2024.
